Shana Keller grew up a middle child in Middle America, always wondering exactly how clouds stayed in the air. She has traveled across the country and through parts of Europe with her family and moved more times than she can count. She is the author of CeeCee Underground Railroad Cinderella, a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection and a Kirkus Starred Review, as well as Do You Know Them?, also a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection. Her other picture books include Bread for Words: A Frederick Douglass Story, an Irma Black Honor, and Ticktock Banneker’s Clock, which was named a Best STEM Book by the Children’s Book Council.
