The day I got my library card was far more exciting than the day I got my driver's license. Okay, maybe not. But, it was just as liberating! In addition to reading (or writing) about amazing people, and learning as much as I can about history, I always take time off to watch a good football game.
I have traveled and moved too many times to count all over the country and some parts of Europe. Despite all the moves, traveling is still one of my favorite things to do. Below is a gallery of pictures I took on my first trip to visit the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum.
Many Moons ~ A Wizard of Earthsea ~ The Once and Future King ~ The Secret Life of Walter Mitty ~ The Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe
A Remake of Benjamin's Cabin
Built from a cabin during the same era, this remake of Banneker's cabin is available to see at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park & Museum.

A striking clock
The museum has a wonderful striking clock on display!
Crossing the Patapsco River
Crossing the Patapsco river into Ellicott city.
Downtown Ellicott City
A very charming downtown, a short jaunt from what was once Banneker's land.
